A hospital in Ludhiana successfully removed an extra leg of a one-year-old boy in a surgery lasting six hours. The surgery was conducted by doctors of Deep Hospital. The boy was born with a defect known as tripod deformity, where an additional rudimentary leg was arising from the back besides the two normal legs. The neurological integrity of the third leg was unaffected, but the leg's strength was compromised. The patient’s MRI scan indicated the presence of femur tibia fibula and the knee joint in the additional leg.More Related News
