Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap's Dobaaraa has received great reviews. However, the film is unable to perform at the box office.
Taapsee Pannu's Dobaaraa got great reviews, but the same has not reflected in the box office collection of the film. In 2 days, the film had collected Rs 1.4 crore, which is very low. Dobaaraa is facing competition from Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Banhdan at the box office.
Taapsee Pannu's Dobaaraa has collected a mere Rs 72 lakh on Day 1. On Day 2, according to a report by Times Now, the film managed to earn Rs 70 lakh, taking the total to Rs 1.2 crore. The Taapse Pannu starrer was released in just 370 screens on August 19.
Though the film got a thumbs up from the critics, it failed to bring audience to the theatres.
Sumit Kadel, a film trade analyst, took to Twitter to reveal that Dobaaraa's shows are getting cancelled. "#Dobaaraa is off to a DISASTROUS start at the box office, film is registering merely 2-3% occupancy while many early shows are getting canceled due to NO AUDIENCE..(sic)," he tweeted.
