Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has challenged BJP leader Sushil Modi to topple the Mahagathbandhan government, saying that successfully doing so will get him a plum post in the saffron party.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took a dig at BJP Rajya Sabha MP and former deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi by challenging him to topple the Mahagathbandhan government in the state.
Nitish Kumar, while speaking to the press in Gopalganj on Sunday, said that if Sushil Modi was claiming that the Mahagathbandhan would not complete its tenure, he should take the initiative to topple the government and get rewarded by the Centre.
"Please ask Sushil Modi to topple the Mahagathbandhan government at the earliest so that he can get a plum post in the BJP. In 2020 assembly elections, when the NDA government was formed, he was not given any responsibility which irked me too. Modi should now speak everyday against Mahagathbandhan government so that the central leadership of BJP becomes happy with him,” the Bihar CM jibed.

Interestingly, on Friday, Sushil Modi asserted that the countdown of the Janata Dal United in Bihar had begun after RJD MLA Awadh Bihari Chaudhary was elected as speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly.
"The countdown for Janata Dal United with 45 legislators started as Awadh Bihari Chaudhary has become speaker of the assembly. Whenever Lalu Prasad wants, he will replace Nitish Kumar and make his son the chief minister of the state. The party which has the support of 115 legislators and to which the assembly speaker belongs can turn the table at any time,” Sushil Modi had claimed.
