The Gautam Budh Nagar District Magistrate’s office in Greater Noida has become inundated due to the relentless rains lashing Delhi-NCR for the last two days. Both ordinary people and officials needed to wade through knee-deep water to enter the premises.
The Gautam Budh Nagar District Magistrate’s office has become waterlogged and turned into a pond due to the two days of rain that has been lashing across Delhi-NCR. Multiple parts of Delhi-NCR have become inundated due to heavy rains in the last two days.
The District Magistrate's office at Noida Surajpur has completely turned into a pond. Due to this, people passing by have to wade through the water.
This problem is faced by the general public every year due to a lack of stormwater drains at the District Magistrate's office. Two days of rain have once again exposed the situation of the Greater Noida Authority and the District Magistrate's office.
At the moment, both the general public and the officials are entering the office by wading through knee-deep water at the District Collectorate.
For the past two days, the Delhi-NCR region has been witnessing a relentless spell of light to moderate rain. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted more rain on Friday and has issued a yellow alert, cautioning people about moderate rain at most places in the city.
The rain is due to two different weather systems converging at the same time. Normal life has been thrown out of gear due to the rains, leading to severe waterlogging and traffic jams. Schools have been shut in Noida and Gurugram.
