District Attorney Drops Murder Charges Against Lizelle Herrera

Herrera was arrested and charged with "intentionally and knowingly causing the death of an individual by a self-induced abortion."

A South Texas District Attorney on Monday dropped murder charges against a local woman, Lizelle Herrera.

Herrera was arrested last week in Starr County, TX along the Mexico border, and charged with "intentionally and knowingly causing the death of an individual by a self-induced abortion."

On Sunday, Starr County District Attorney Gocha Allen Ramirez walked back that claim.
