Disparity in Covid vaccine distribution: Maharashtra demands 40 lakh doses per week

Maharashtra's Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Thursday said the state is facing discrimination with respect to the distribution of doses of Covid-19 vaccines by the Centre.
Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has accused the Centre of 'discrimination' in the distribution of doses of the two approved Covid-19 vaccines - Covaxin and Covishield. Rajesh Tope's statement comes a day after Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan rebutted his claims about the shortage of vaccine doses in Maharashtra. "I have just got information that we have got additional stock. We have now got 17 lakh doses. It is still less compared to the demand of 40 lakh doses that we have made," Rajesh Tope said on Thursday.More Related News
