Director of 3 firms on paper, driver in reality: Meet Arpita Mukherjee’s business partner

On paper,  Kalyan Dhar is a business partner of Arpita Mukherjee. However, India Today TV found that the man, who is supposedly a director of three firms, appears to be struggling financially. 

On paper, Kalyan Dhar is director of three companies and involved in business of crores of rupees with Arpita Mukherjee. But the Kolkata resident is a cab driver in real life, an India Today TV investigation has found.

Kalyan Dhar, who is co-director of three firms along with Arpita Mukherjee, is now under investigation of Enforcement Directorate in connection with the money laundering case pertaining to SSC scam case.

The ED has already arrested former Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee and his aide Arpita Mukherjee in this case.

India Today TV tracked down Arpita’s mystery co-director who, on paper, is a millionaire. However, it was found that Kalyan Dhar is a car driver and does not even own a motorcycle.

Here’s a look at Kalyan Dhar and his 'directorship' in Arpita Mukherjee’s firms:

Arpita was appointed as Director of Symbiosis Merchants Private Limited, a Kolkata-based firm, incorporated on March 21, 2011. On paper, the firm was shown to be involved in the business of wholesale of a variety of goods. Along with Arpita, Kalyan Dhar was also made Director of the company on July 1, 2021.
