India wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik reminisced about the time spent with former England cricketer Eoin Morgan at Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL, calling him the "leader and the lovely person".
Morgan retired from international cricket with immediate effect on June 28. He led England to the 2019 ODI World Cup glory at Lord's.
Morgan, who was added to KKR at the 2020 auction, replaced Karthik as the franchise's captain during the 2020 season. Morgan had previously played for KKR between 2011-13. In the 2021 season, KKR finished as runner-up under the leadership of Morgan.
"The man who helped England achieve what they were wishing for years," Karthik said. "During the time I spent with you at KKR, I thoroughly enjoyed the leader and the lovely person that you are as well."
