Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams urged people who are senior citizens, differently abled, and parents with infants to postpone their pilgrimage to Tirupati owing to the expected crowding during the weekend and due to the festive season from August 11 to 15.
As large numbers of pilgrims are anticipated from this weekend due to a series of holidays from August 11-15, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has appealed to pilgrims who are senior citizens, differently-abled and parents with infants to postpone their trip to Tirupati.
Pilgrims have been requested to co-operate with the TTD and plan their darshan and accommodation well in advance. Though the summer rush has receded, the weekend rush, coupled with festive holidays, is expected to continue till August 19.
Further, the auspicious month of Peratasi also commences from September 18 and will last till October 17.
In view of this, the TTD has appealed to senior citizens, differently-abled, those with chronic diseases and parents with infants to plan their Tirumala pilgrimage after Peratasi month to avoid any sort of inconvenience.
The pilgrims will be allowed for darshan only in their specified time slots. Pilgrims have to be prepared and patient to wait for long hours in the compartments and in-queue lines till their turn for Darshan.
