Bundesgesundheitsminister Karl Lauterbach (SPD) hält sich mit seiner Begeisterung nicht zurück. Der im Infektionsschutzgesetz beschlossene „Pandemieradar“ sei „viel besser als alles, was wir bisher hatten“. Künftig müsse jedes Krankenhaus, das Corona-Patienten versorgt, tagesaktuell umfangreiche Daten melden. Man werde dann etwa unterscheiden können, wer wegen und wer nur mit Covid eingeliefert wird. „Wir haben mit dem Pandemieradar einen viel besseren Überblick über das pandemische Geschehen“, resümierte der Minister kürzlich im Bundesrat. Dies sei für die Bundesländer entscheidend, um zu beurteilen, welche Corona-Maßnahmen sie verhängen.
