Didn't mean entire Muslim community: Naseeruddin Shah on slamming those celebrating Taliban | Exclusive

Reacting to the backlash he received over a video of him condemning Indian Muslims celebrating the Taliban, Naseeruddin Shah, in an exclusive interview to India Today, said he did not "mean the entire Muslim community".

Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah clarified on Monday that his comments on Indian Muslims celebrating the Taliban's return in Afghanistan were only about a section of backward people in the country and not the entire community.

"Maybe I made a mistake by not speaking clearly enough and clarifying that I didn't mean the entire Muslim community, which is how it's being interpreted by interested parties," Shah, 71, told India Today TV Consulting Editor Rajdeep Sardesai in an exclusive interview.
