Remember that you are on state government duty, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee told the police officer after asking him whether he received any instructions from Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar.
West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar took to Twitter on Thursday to share a video of an interaction between a police officer and CM Mamata Banerjee. The interaction took place during an administrative meeting chaired by the Chief Minister.
In the video, CM Mamata Banerjee can be heard telling the Superintendent of Police (SP) of East Midnapore district, "Did the Governor call you? Did he instruct you? What to or what not to do? I know you will not admit that. Do not get into that. Remember you are on state government duty.
"I sent you here so that you work well, but I am getting complaints. If you feel you are finding it difficult to work freely due to some political pressure, you can tell me directly. And don't listen to anyone else," said the West Bengal Chief Minister.
