Dhak Dhak stars Dia Mirza, Ratna Pathak, Fatima Shaikh, Sanjana Sanghi ride from Delhi to Khardung La, set record

Dia Mirza, Ratna Pathak Shah, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanjana Sanghi will soon be seen together in Dhak Dhak. They recently set a record by riding to Khardung La from New Delhi.
Dia Mirza, Ratna Pathak Shah, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanjana Sanghi are starring in the upcoming road trip film, Dhak Dhak. The cast of the film is currently shooting in the beautiful valley of Ladakh. During the same time, they also took a ride to Khardung La, the world’s highest motorable pass. Setting a new record, they have now become the first film crew to ride from Delhi to Khardung La.
It’s 2022 and women don’t shy away from achieving any milestones anymore. Setting an example for many, Dhak Dhak's cast Dia Mirza, Ratna Pathak Shah, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanjana Sanghi have become the first film crew to ride from Delhi to Khardung La. Taking to Instagram, Dia shared a photo from the highest point at Khardung La.
“I’ve been looking at this image and thinking to myself, did we really do this? Did we manage to truly make this happen? YES we DID You’ll know what and how much this means to each of us when you watch #DhakDhak!!! For now, we are celebrating the fact that we are the FIRST FILM CREW to ride from #Delhi to #KhardungLa pass - The World’s Highest Motorable Pass, Can’t WAIT for you to watch #DhakDhak (sic),” wrote Dia Mirza.
A picturesque pass in the Leh district, Khardung La connects the Indus river valley and the Shyok river valley. A motorable road through the pass was built back in 1976. It was opened to public motor vehicles in 1988. Maintained by the Border Roads Organisation, the pass is strategically important to India as it is used to carry supplies to the Siachen Glacier. The road is one of the world's highest motorable roads.
Dhak Dhak is produced by Taapsee Pannu, Pranjal Khandhdiya and Ayush Maheshwari. It has been written by Parijat Joshi and Tarun Dudeja and directed by Tarun. It will hit theatres in 2023. Talking about her co-production, Taapsee said, “At Outsiders Films we aim to produce films that are meaningful and entertaining. We have attempted to give audiences a visual experience that they have rarely seen on screen. Dhak Dhak narrates the story of four women who realise that freedom has to be owned and never given."
