Devotees offering flowers, water, milk to the Gods at temples are quite familiar, but have you ever heard of offering ‘beedi’ at a temple? A temple located in Bihar is famous for its unique tradition.
Devotees offer ‘beedi’ at Musarhawa Baba Temple to fulfill their wishes. The temple is located in the Khutia area of Kaimur district.
Musarhawa Baba’s idol has been installed at the temple and devotees from far flung areas come here with their wishes and offer ‘beedi’.

After the darshan of the Baba, devotees have to open the bundle of ‘beedi’ and light it and offer it. It is said that by offering ‘beedi’, Baba gets pleased and fulfills the wishes of his devotees.
PASSERBY OFFER ‘BEEDI’ AT TEMPLE
Gopal Baba, priest of the temple said, “Any passerby or traveler has to offer ‘beedi’ to the Baba. There are many such travelers who disregard the belief and have met with an accident”.
