New Zealand head coach Gary Stead has heaped praise on Devon Conway, who made his international debut in November last year, and hopes to see him in the Test squad for England tour in June.
Before New Zealand lock horns with India in the maiden World Test Championship final, the team will play two Test matches against England in June. The WTC final is scheduled to start on June 18, in Southampton, before which New Zealand is scheduled to play a two-match Test series starting on June 2. Devon Conway, who made his international debut at the start of this season, has all the backing from his head coach who feels that the South Africa-born batsman could end up doing great things for the team as Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor have. Conway made his ODI debut against Bangladesh last month has impressed massively in both formats. Due to his success since November last year, when he made his T20I debut against West Indies, coach Stead has admitted that Conway is very much being considered for the Test series in England.More Related News
