Indian Premier League: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) head coach has said that backing Indian youngsters paid off for the team as players like Devdutt Padikkal and Washington Sundar were all brilliant.
Devdutt Padikkal, 20, edged captain Virat Kohli and veteran batsman AB de Villiers to top score for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The left-handed opener amassed 473 runs in IPL 2020, his debut season, while opening for the team lead by Virat Kohli. According to RCB head coach, the team backed youngsters in the last season and it paid off as they made it to the playoffs last year. Speaking of the positive takeaways from IPL 2020, Katich said that players like Washington Sundar, Navdeep Saini and Mohammed Siraj were outstanding for them. "We felt the last season there were lots of positives. For the first time in a number of years, we got to the playoffs. But the other part is we did back in the young Indian talents,” Katich said on a video posted by the official handle of RCB.More Related News
