DeSantis warns against dragging vote count beyond election night: 'Absolutely killing public trust'

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis warned that dragging vote counting beyond election night could dampen public trust in the process while pledging Florida's votes will be counted on Nov. 5.
"You'll have one candidate that may have a big lead because of Election Day votes and then people wake up the next morning and say, 'Yeah, my candidate's up 6%,' and then they keep counting the next day, and then they count more the next day, and then the lead flips," he told "Sunday Morning Futures" host Maria Bartiromo. "Even if there was nothing [wrong], even if it was all on the up and up, that destroys confidence on how these elections happen," he continued. "So any of those states that are doing what The New York Times is saying, they are absolutely killing public trust in these elections."
