The impact of the dengue outbreak continues in Uttar Pradesh, with 23,128 cases reported this year the highest since 2016. The maximum number of cases have been registered in Firozabad, Jhansi, Ghaziabad and Prayagraj, with state capital Lucknow reporting more than 1,500 dengue patients so far.

At Lucknow's Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Civil Hospital, there are two separate wards for female and male patients. The number of patients currently suffering from dengue is in the double digits, as are those getting admitted daily.
