In response to an RTI (Right to Information) request filed by India Today, the Delhi Traffic Police informed that they earned a total of Rs 702 crore through fines in the last 10 years.
The Delhi Traffic Police have earned a total of Rs 702 crore through fines in the last 10 years, which was around 20 per cent of their total expenditure during the same time period. The information has been provided in response to an RTI (Right to Information) request filed by India Today. The yearly expenditure of the Delhi Traffic Police varies from over Rs 306 crores to around Rs 525 crore. In the year 2019-20, the total expenditure was Rs 526.77 crore - the highest so far. They have destroyed the record of spending before December 2015, informed Mandeep Singh Randhwa, Public Information Officer, Delhi Traffic Police.More Related News
