A group of traders of the national capital on Thursday demanded a rebate in taxes from the Delhi government as well as the central government, citing financial losses due to the Covid-induced lockdown.
Citing financial losses due to the Covid-induced lockdown, a group of traders of the national capital on Thursday demanded a rebate in taxes from the Delhi government as well as the central government. All businesses, except those who are in the category of emergency services, are shut since last month. The current lockdown in Delhi has been in force since April 19. Thereafter, the lockdown was extended five times in view of the alarming rise in Covid-19 cases. “Our entire market is shut since last month. We have kids to take care of and we have nothing to do to earn money. The minimal help the governments can do is a rebate in taxes,” said Arun Yadav, a shop owner at the Bhagirath Palace electronic market.More Related News
