The deceased was identified as Jaipal, who resided in a rented flat in the Sarai Rohilla area of the national capital.
On March 6, Jaipal’s body was found in his house by the police after they received a complaint in this regard. The man was lying naked on the floor and had injuries on his back.On inquiry, flat owner, Shakeel Ahmad Quershi, was called to the spot and he identified the deceased.A team was formed to nab the accused. During interrogation with his family members, it was revealed that Jaipal had an affair with a distant relative, Chandrawati aka Radha Devi.
Furthermore, his neighbour told the police that he saw three unidentified people, including a woman, near his flat who were murmuring something. Assessing some foul play, he clicked their pictures and gave them to the police.
Raids were conducted and the suspect, Chandrawati aka Radha Devi, was apprehended and questioned, who confessed to committing the murder with the help of her son and his friend.
Based on the information provided by Chandrawati, her son Dheeraj and his friend Satish were arrested. The mobile phone of the deceased was also recovered from their possession.During interrogation, they disclosed that at around 4 pm on March 3, the deceased called Chandrawati to his flat. When she reached the flat, an argument took place and the deceased thrashed her and also made a video of the assault.The woman informed her son about the incident. Dheeraj called one of his friends and all of them went to Jaipal’s house. All three of them brutally thrashed him and then locked the door from outside, following which he succumbed to his injuries.
