Videos of northeast Delhi riots accused Shahrukh Pathan receiving a hero’s welcome while out on parole have gone viral on social media.
Shahrukh Pathan, who had allegedly pointed a gun at a policeman during the northeast Delhi riots in 2020, received a hero’s welcome while out on parole. Videos of the incident have gone viral on social media.
Shahrukh Pathan is currently lodged in jail after a Delhi court framed charges against him related to a host of offences, from rioting to promoting religious enmity. Last week, he was granted a four-hour parole from jail on humanitarian grounds to see his ailing father.
In a video dated May 23, Pathan can be seen receiving a rousing welcome from his supporters and neighbours when he came home on parole. People in the clip can be heard cheering and whistling as they flock around Pathan.
