
Delhi residents supporting lockdown dip from 85% to 68% as city's Covid cases go down: Survey

According to a survey, 68 percent of Delhi residents have supported extension of coronavirus-induced-lockdown by at least one week, a slight dip from 17 percent.
The percentage of Delhi residents supporting the extension of coronavirus-induced lockdown has dipped from 85 per cent to 68 per cent, according to a survey conducted by LocalCircles. The survey comes after Delhi's daily Covid-19 cases declined to 3,000-6,000 in the past week. The current one-week lockdown is scheduled to end on May 24. To understand what the people of Delhi want post-May 24 in regard to lockdown extension, LocalCircles conducted a survey that received close to 9,000 responses from residents across all 11 districts of Delhi. Among the respondents, 69 per cent of the participants were men whereas 31 per cent were women. The survey stated that 68 per cent of Delhiites are in favour of extending the lockdown or curfew by at least one week. All participants were validated Delhi residents who had to be registered with LocalCircles to participate in this survey.More Related News
