Marking the occasion of World Water Day on March 22, the Satsang Foundation’s Satsang Jal Seva Sangathan (SJSS) launched a project to clean the Ram Talab, an ancient water body part of Sanjay Van in Delhi.
This project has been launched in collaboration with Bint Biotech, DDA and the Guru Gorakhnathji Temple Trust as a part of the water conservation mission.
The SJSS has been instrumental in water conservation through various endeavours, under the insightful guidance of Sri M.
On March 22, Sri M launched the initiative to clean the Ram Talab, a 433 acre of Urban Forest in South Delhi.
Since Delhi is already experiencing high rates of water depletion, micro-scale interventions like this one are now highly imperative.
As per the reports, the volunteers started the process of purifying the Talab with bio enzymes, ensuring a harmless and sustainable way of cleaning water.
The vegetating efforts in the adjoining areas will strengthen the natural ecosystem of the water body. More trees and plants will be planted during the monsoon season.
