The Delhi Disaster Management Authority has allowed standing passengers in Metro trains and buses in a bid to ease the traffic on roads and reduce vehicular pollution.
In view of the pollution situation in Delhi, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has allowed standing passengers in Metro trains and buses in a bid to ease the traffic on roads and reduce vehicular pollution.
In an order, the DDMA said 30 standing passengers would be allowed in each Metro train coach. In addition to 100 per cent seating capacity in DTC and cluster buses, 50 per cent of the passengers of the seating capacity will be able to travel standing.
