Delhi pollution control body shuts 92 construction, demolition sites for violating dust control norms

As the city's AQI turned severe a day after Diwali, the Delhi Pollution Control Committee has ordered the shutdown of 92 construction and demolition projects.
The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) on Friday ordered the shutdown of 92 construction and demolition projects in the national capital. This comes a day after Diwali following which the city's air quality index turned severe.
In a statement, the DPCC said inspection teams intensified their special drives on construction sites on Friday and a total of 92 construction and demolition projects were closed down for dust norm violations.
