Delhi Police files FIR against Twitter under POCSO, IT Act

Delhi Police Cyber Cell has registered an FIR under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Information Technology (IT) Act against Twitter on the basis of a complaint from NCPCR over allowing access to child sexual abuse material on the platform.

NCPCR had last week summoned DCP, Delhi Police Cyber Cell, to appear before the commission in person on or before June 29. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Anyesh Roy was asked to explain why no action was taken against Twitter as per the NCPCR's letter to Delhi Police dated May 29 of this year.More Related News
