The Delhi Police filed a 400-page chargesheet against four accused in the Delhi Cantt rape case on Saturday. The charges levelled include various sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and the Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The Union home ministry had directed the police to conduct a speedy investigation and file its chargesheet within thirty days of registering the case. The case was registered on August 2, a day after the nine-year-old Dalit victim was allegedly raped, killed and forcibly cremated in Nangal village of Delhi Cantonment area.More Related News
