A night curfew has been imposed in Delhi amid a surge in coronavirus cases. The curfew will be in place from 11 pm to 5 am.
Night curfew has been imposed in Delhi from Monday as the city registered the highest single-day spike in coronavrius cases since June 9. The night curfew will be in place from 11 pm to 5 am, as per an order by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).
On Monday night, markets, eateries, and all non-essential services were shut, with police vehicles patrolling the area making announcements through speakers. The inner circle of Connaught Place area was cut off by a series of barricades, with only one entry-exit point left open. Very limited vehicular movement was witnessed on the roads.
