Delhi man shot dead allegedly by friend over suspected love affair: Police

A man was shot dead allegedly by a friend in northwest Delhi's Adarsh Nagar area on Saturday night. The police suspect it to be a case of love gone wrong, sources told India Today TV.
On July 17, the police received a call around 2 am and dispatched an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) to the scene. Officials found a man lying injured near the Ramleela ground.
The victim, identified as Abhishek Singh, was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. The doctors there said Singh, 23, had a gunshot injury in his chest.

During the investigation, it was found that Singh had gone to meet one of his friends near the Ramleela Ground in Delhi’s Azadpur area. The two had a heated argument over some issue, when Singh’s friend got agitated and allegedly shot him in the chest.
The police have registered a case of murder and are examining witnesses. Several teams have been constituted to arrest the accused.
