
Delhi Man Fakes Own Kidnapping, Demands Rs 3 Lakh From Father: Police

A 23-year-old man, who allegedly faked his own kidnapping to demand Rs 3 lakh from his father, was traced to Punjab's Jalandhar, the police said Thursday. On June 3, Delhi's Shahbad Dairy police station received a call about the kidnapping. The police reached the spot and recorded the statement of Veer Pal Singh - the father of the man, a senior police officer said. Mr Singh told the police that his son Aman had gone to the market on June 1 and had not returned home since, officials said. Mr Singh told the police that he received a call from his son on June 3 who told him that he has been kidnapped and the kidnappers have demanded a ransom of Rs 3 lakh, the officer said.More Related News
