Golgappa, panipuri, fuchka, paani ke batashey- these crispy balls filled with tangy water may have different names, but one won’t find many who are not fans of this popular street food. Most of us have our preferred golgappe wale bhaiya who sits at a special corner and makes the best versions of these snacks. But what if you favourite bhaiya is replaced by a robot? Confused? Well you won’t be after watching this video of a contactless golgappa vending machine made completely in India.
The video, shared on YouTube by food blogger Vishal, shows a shiny yellow vending machine on a street in Delhi. The recording goes on to show Govind, the creator of the machine, who is also a robotics engineer. Govind explains the machine’s functions and says that it is completely made in India with a special cloud technology. Priced at Rs 20, the machine churns out a perfectly packed box of golgappas after the customer has scanned the QR code displayed on the machine and paid the amount. And what about the tangy water, you may ask? You can have four different flavours of water that are dispensed from chutes attached in front of the machine.
