
Delhi likely to experience hotter summer during March-May: IMD

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday said that Delhiites are likely to experience a hotter summer than normal during the March to May period this year. However, it will be less hotter in Peninsular India and parts of the east, northeast and northern plains.
In its seasonal outlook for the upcoming three-month period from March to May, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday said that Delhiites are likely to experience a hotter summer than normal this year.
As per the prediction by the IMD, western and adjoining areas of central India, northwest India including Delhi-NCR and northernmost parts of northeast India are likely to face a hotter summer than usual in the March to May period.

However, it will be less hotter in Peninsular India and parts of the east, northeast and northern plains.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light showers for Delhi on Wednesday and Thursday under the influence of a western disturbance. Meanwhile, the national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 9.6 degrees Celsius Tuesday morning.
