Delhi HC reserves order on WhatsApp plea challenging CCI notice over new privacy policy
India Today
The Delhi High Court has reserved its order on a plea by Facebook and WhatsApp challenging a notice served to them by the Competition Commission of India in connection with its probe into WhatsApp's new privacy policy.
Without delving into the merits of the matter, a vacation bench of the Delhi High Court reserved its order on a petition filed by Facebook and WhatsApp. The matter has now been listed on July 9. Facebook, which owns WhatsApp, urged the court to stay the Competition Commission of India (CCI) probe into the instant messaging app's new privacy policy. The CCI, in a fresh notice on June 4, asked Facebook and WhatsApp to furnish details of the new privacy policy. The vacation bench of Justices Anup Jairam Bhambhani and Jasmeet Singh said on Monday, "We will pass an order. The matter will be listed on July 9."More Related News
