Delhi: Economic Offences Wing arrests three for creating fake property papers

Three people were arrested by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police for allegedly creating forged and fabricated documents for grabbing the property.
The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police on Friday arrested three people for allegedly creating forged and fabricated documents for grabbing the property of a widow. The accused allegedly submitted the fake property papers before the civil court to claim the Property Information Questionnaire (PIQ).
The complainant had purchased a plot at Freedom Fighter Enclave and also constructed a house and inscribed her daughter's name on the allotment certificate as a 50% share holder in the property. Her daughter Sangeeta Saini died in the month of January 2016.
In 2016, a complaint was filed against a man identified as his son-in-law Rajesh Saini, for preparing forged documents which showed that the woman had sold her property to her daughter for execution in 2015.
Joint CP EOW Chhaya Sharma said "During the course of the investigation, the complainant was examined. She stated that she had never executed any document in favour of her daughter. Furthermore, one public witness, Pradeep Kumar Sharma, was also examined and his statement was also recorded. During the examination, he denied his signature as a witness to the General Power of Attorney (GPA) on September 3, 2015, showing execution by the complainant in favour of Sangeeta Saini. Police said that Sharma further stated that he had never signed as witness on any document in respect to the above-mentioned property.

Police also examined the Notary Public and he also denied his signature on all the alleged property documents. He further stated that he has never signed any document with respect to the property in question.
The forged documents were verified by the Stock Holding office, Nehru Place regarding e-stamp papers from where the alleged documents in respect to the PIQ were shown to be prepared. The e-stamp papers were found to be forged and fabricated. During the investigation, the stamp vendors were also examined but they clearly denied issuing any e-stamp paper to the wife of the accused Rajesh Saini.
