A Class 12 student was apprehended by a team of Cyber Police, Dwarka, for creating a fake social media profile of his teacher in Delhi.

The incident came to light when the victim registered a complaint and stated some unknown person had created a fake Instagram account in her name and uploaded her pictures. Her mobile number was also posted on the profile with an obscene description.

During the investigation, details of the fake Instagram account were obtained and analyzed. On the basis of the technical analysis, the team raided and apprehended a juvenile.
According to the accused, his teacher’s behaviour towards him was very bad. He felt insulted every time she scolded him. So, he decided to defame her on social media. Thereafter, he created a fake profile.
