Delhi Capitals name Rishabh Pant captain for IPL 2021, Shreyas Iyer ruled out with shoulder injury

Rishabh Pant has been named captain of Delhi Capitals for the entire season of IPL 2021. Regular skipper Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the tournament with a shoulder injury.

Delhi Capitals have named Rishabh Pant as their captain for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2021 after Shreyas Iyer was ruled out with a shoulder injury. This will be Rishabh Pant’s debut as IPL captain. The 23-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman has captained Delhi’s state team in the past. He was also Delhi's skipper in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament in 2017.
