Delhi Cabinet approves proposal, 300 electric buses to hit the streets this year

Delhi Cabinet has approved a proposal for engagement of 300 electric buses by DTC. The buses will be added to the Delhi’s public transport system by the end of this year.
Delhi Cabinet on Friday approved the engagement of 300 low-floor fully electric air-conditioned buses by Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC). The buses will be added to the DTC fleet by the end of this year, giving a boost to the national capital’s public transport system. Congrats Delhi ! Under leadership of CM @ArvindKejriwal, Delhi Govt is committed to ensure State of Art transport facilities and switch to sustainable and non-polluting electric transportation in Delhi According to Delhi’s transport minister Kailash Gahlot, this induction of 300 electric buses is one of the largest engagements of electric buses by any state government or state transport undertaking. He also said that electric-powered buses are being inducted in the fleet for the first time. "Under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, we have been taking a lot of measures to ensure sustainable and state-of-the-art transport facilities and a switch to electric non-polluting mode,” Gahlot said in a statement.More Related News
