Delhi Bar Council suspends advocate's licence for allegedly using chamber for conversion, nikaah

The Delhi Bar Council on Monday suspended the license of a lawyer for allegedly turning his chamber into a mosque.
The Delhi Bar Council temporarily suspended an advocate's licence for allegedly turning his chamber on the Karkardooma court premises into a "masjid" (mosque) and performing conversion and nikaah ceremonies there. The Bar Council also ordered sealing of the lawyer's chamber on the court premises to allow a police investigation and has requested the Karkardooma court judge in-charge to suspend the allotment of the chamber to the accused lawyer, Iqbal Malik, for "illegal activities" in his court chamber.More Related News
