Delhi allows gatherings for Ramleela, Durga Puja, bans Chhath Puja in public places

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority has banned Chhath celebrations at public places and river banks in the national capital, even as it lifted restrictions on large gatherings for events related to Ramleela and Durga Puja.
The Delhi government on Wednesday relaxed the restriction on gatherings till November 15 in view of the upcoming festival season with strict compliance with Covid-19 rules. However, the government has imposed a ban on holding Chhath Puja in public places.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) released a set of guidelines and said crowds will be allowed to take part in events related to festivals such as Ramleela celebrations and Durga Puja while adhering to social distancing norms, separate entry and exit points at venues and no overcrowding at gatherings.
