Delhi: 7 women held for running fake placement agency, duping over 300 people

Seven women were nabbed on Monday for allegedly running a fake placement agency and duping over 300 job seekers across India on the pretext of providing them employment in airline firms.
Seven women were arrested on Monday for allegedly running a fake placement agency and duping more than 300 job seekers across India on the pretext of providing them employment in airline firms, police said. Six phones, fake appointment letters of airlines and data of victims were also recovered from the accused, police added. They were arrested made after the Cyber Cell of West District raided a building in Delhi's Ramesh Nagar where the agency was being run through a call centre. The accused were identified as Jyoti (29), Sushmita (26), Roshni (24), Rekha (23), Chhaya (21), Akansha Sharma (21), Pooja (21), Rekha (23), police said.All of them have been nabbed under IPC of section 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and other relevant sections of the Information Technology Act at the Kirti Nagar Police Station, they added.More Related News
