Delhi: 27 Electric vehicle charging stations installed at 20 locations

As many as 27 electric vehicle charging stations have been installed at 20 locations in Delhi, out of which 15 EV charging stations have become operational for public use.
North Delhi Municipal Corporation has installed 27 Electric Vehicle charging stations at 20 locations in its jurisdiction and 15 EV charging stations have become operational for public use.
North DMC has made rigorous efforts to ensure the installation and operation of electric vehicle charging stations in its areas.
In this regard, two Government of India public sector undertakings, including Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) and Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL), as well as DISCOM, i.e. Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) was authorised by the Corporation for the installation and operation of EV charging stations and were offered more than 125 parking sites as well as roadsides to find out the feasibility of the installation and operations of EV charging stations.
Till date, a total of 54 locations have been selected by these three companies, i.e. EESL (17 locations), BECIL (17 locations) and TPDDL (20 locations) for which permission letters have been issued by North DMC.
Till date, 27 EV charging stations have been installed at 20 locations by all three companies and 15 EV charging stations have become operational for public usage.
The operational charging stations are at Road No 44, Rani Bagh, Naniwala Bagh Commercial Complex, MVID Hospital Dheerpur Mukherjee Nagar, Mangalam Place, Rohini Sector-3, Netaji Subhash Place Pitampura, Tonga Stand Moti Nagar, M2K Market Mangalam Place Rohini, Local Shopping Complex D-Block DDA Market Prashant Vihar, Multi Level Underground Parking Model Town-II.
The corporation has given a timeline till April 30 to make EV charging stations operational at all 54 locations.
