Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday asked top commanders of the Indian Air Force (IAF) to prepare a long term plan and strategise for capability enhancement to counter future threats.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday asked top commanders of the Indian Air Force (IAF) to draw up a long term plan aimed at reorienting the force for the future. Singh also asked the senior officers to develop strategies aimed at enhancing capabilities in order to counter future threats. Addressing senior officers at the Air Force commanders conference here, Rajnath Singh stressed on the critical focus of IAF towards reorienting for the future. "Referring to changing international geopolitics, he observed that the perceptible shift of focus from Trans-Atlantic to Trans-Pacific has become more obvious in the recent past. Changing dimensions of war would now include advanced technologies, asymmetric capabilities and info-dominance, and it was very important that the IAF's preparations for the future must include these aspects," a statement from the Ministry of Defence said.More Related News
