Deepika Padukone is at the top of her game in Bollywood and making strides in Hollywood too. But, it’s the simple joys of life that keep her going. She believes that more than being successful, being remembered as a good person matters more. She talked about all this and more as she appeared on Harper’s Bazaar India’s 13th Anniversary cover.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have a magical love story. The two got married in 2018 and are regarded as a power couple in Bollywood. Deepika recently told Harper’s Bazaar India about the qualities she admires in people and what matters to her in life.
She said, “I think vulnerability...and authenticity bring me joy. Recognising these qualities in myself, or in other people, brings me joy. The simple things make me happy, too. Waking up next to my husband, having breakfast with family, or experiencing honest moments with friends, when I can be my truest self... For me, staying grounded is extremely important. In fact, Ranveer [Singh] and I talk about this often...how anyone can be successful, but what matters more is to be remembered as a good human being (sic).”
Deepika Padukone will be seen next in Shah Rukh Khan's Pathan. The film will hit the theatres on January 25 next year. The actress also has Hrithik Roshan-starrer Fighter and the Indian adaptation of The Intern alongside Amitabh Bachchan in the pipeline. Besides these, Deepika will feature in Nag Ashwin’s Project K with Big B and Prabhas.
