Deepika Padukone's Skincare Secret, Taught By Mom Ujjala

Deepika Padukone interacted with fans over an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram

When one of the most beautiful faces in Indian cinema gives you skincare advice, you take it. We are talking about Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone, who revealed her skincare secrets in an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Instagram on Monday. One of the questions that a fan asked went  like this – “Dying to know the secret behind your super glowing skin.” In response to this, Deepika Padukone said, “My secret has always been, just keep it very simple and just stick to the fundamentals. It's sort of the mantra that my mother [Ujjala Padukone] taught me while I was growing up, she is like, ‘Don't do too much to your skin, keep it simple; less is more'. So, just as a young kid, a mother tells you that it just sticks with you and I kind of continued that through my journey and my skincare routine. I just focus on cleansing my skin, keeping my skin hydrated, using sunscreen for protecting it from the sun and that's really all I do.”

During the same session, Deepika Padukone revealed that she is currently binge-watching the Netflix show Indian Matchmaking. She also shared that her favourite show is Scooby-Doo and even sang the title song.
