In her acceptance speech, she said, "I was all of 16 when I decided to switch my careers from being a competitive badminton player to becoming an actor. Little did I imagine that 20 years hence, I'd be standing here receiving a TIME 100 Impact Award." She added, "When you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a path that has been there all the while. So follow your bliss. Don't be afraid and doors will open when you never knew they would."
