Deepika Padukone has no dating gyaan for Gehraiyaan co-stars Ananya, Siddhant. Here's why

In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, Deepika Padukone revealed that she has no dating tips for her Gehraiyaan co-stars, Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi. And she has a perfect explanation for that.

Deepika Padukone and the entire cast of Shakun Batra’s Gehraiyaan bonded on a personal level during the making of the film. While Deepika Padukone is happily married to Ranveer Singh and gave up her single status long back, her co-stars Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi haven’t yet made their relationship status official. Now, Siddhant is rumoured to be dating Navya Naveli Nanda and Ananya is allegedly in a relationship with Ishaan Khatter. So, does Deepika have any special dating tips for these young stars? In an interview with IndiaToday.in, Deepika shared that she doesn't. Here's why.

When asked if Deepika had any special dating tips for Ananya or Siddhant, she revealed that she doesn't and that's because that isn't her style. "No, I like to believe that I wasn’t sitting there mentoring them and I don’t think that was the idea. That is not my style and I think it would have been the wrong way to approach this film," Deepika said.

Deepika adds that they were more like friends on sets, and the years of experience she has behind her did not come into play. "I’d like to believe that I was more of a friend and of a confidant and someone that they just felt comfortable around, forgetting the years of work that I have put in or not come on with a sort of preconceived idea of who they think I am or what they have read or what they have heard. And I really hope that that is really their takeaway."

But, what about the moments during the shoot when the years of experience did come into play? Be it for a scene or just life in general? "I feel like if there were moments where that could have happened, I tried my best to really make them [Ananya and Siddhant] feel as comfortable as possible. So, I’d like to believe I haven’t given them any dating tips or gyaan," Deepika concludes.

Gehraiyaan is scheduled to be released on February 11, 2022, on Amazon Prime Video.
