Debutants FC Goa to host Group E matches of Asian Champions League 2021

Indian Super League side FC Goa will host the Group E matches of the AFC Champions League (ACL) at the Fatorda Stadium in Margao.

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on Thursday confirmed that Indian Super League side FC Goa will host the Group E matches of the AFC Champions League (ACL). Goa will host the matches at the Fatorda Stadium in Margao. FC Goa has been clubbed with the last edition's runners-up Persepolis FC of Iran, Qatari heavyweights Al Rayyan SC and the fourth team will be a winner of the West region playoffs. The group stage draw of the continent’s top-tier league involving 40 teams was held online. FC Goa had become the first Indian club to directly qualify for the group stage of the ACL by virtue of finishing on top of the points table at the end of the league phase.
