Debt-ridden weaver kills self, wife, son in suicide pact in Andhra Pradesh

The man, his wife and their son killed themselves because they had accrued a lot of debt and could not bear the losses or repay the loans.
Unable to bear losses and repay loans, a weaver's family of three committed suicide by hanging in Pedana in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district on Tuesday, February 1.Reportedly, the family suicide pact was due to the high interest on the loans they had taken.
A resident of the 17th ward of Pedana town, Kasham Padmanabhan, his wife Naga Lilavati and son Raja Nagendram all committed suicide in their home.
Circle Inspector Virayya Gowda stated that a case will be registered and the harassment angle will be investigated. The dead bodies were shifted to the government hospital for postmortem.
