
Dead body of girl found under suspicious circumstances in Lucknow hotel, probe underway

A woman, Chandra Tripathi, was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday inside the washroom of a hotel room in Lucknow’s Bansmandi area. Her boyfriend stayed with her till midnight the previous day. Police are conducting further investigations.
The dead body of a woman was found on Tuesday morning, September 13, in the washroom of a room in a hotel in Lucknow’s Bansmandi area under suspicious circumstances. Officials of the Qaiserbagh police station were informed regarding this.
Upon arriving at hotel 'Just 9 inn' where the victim was found, officials took custody of the body, sent it for post-mortem and began further investigations into the matter. The deceased was identified as Chandra Tripathi.
During the initial probe, it was discovered that a boy had stayed in the hotel room along with the girl till midnight. He was reportedly her boyfriend and police officials are questioning him about the incident.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Paschim S Chinappa, who arrived at the spot, said, “The IDs of both the boy and the girl have been recovered. We have also sent the victim’s body for post-mortem examination.”
Further investigations are underway.
